Q: Why am I experiencing issues with the new scenery versions (V2 or Rebooted series)?

A: If you’re encountering problems with the new scenery versions, such as incorrect textures, missing objects, or performance issues, we recommend verifying the following steps to ensure the scenery is properly installed and functioning:

  1. V1 is Fully Uninstalled:
Ensure that any previous version of the scenery (V1) has been completely uninstalled to avoid conflicts. Older files from V1 WILL interfere with the new version.
  2. Reinstall the Main Scenery:
Reinstall the V2 or Rebooted series scenery to make sure all the files are intact and correctly placed. This helps address potential installation errors.
  3. Check for Other Local Scenery Conflicts:
Verify that no other local scenery is installed that could affect the same area. This includes:

    • World Updates
    • Surrounding scenery add-ons
    • Any other products that modify the same region

Conflicting sceneries can lead to overlapping or misplaced elements and other issues.

  4. Clear Rolling Cache and Restart the Simulator:
Clear the rolling cache in the simulator’s settings and restart the simulator. This ensures any outdated or corrupted cached data is refreshed and doesn’t interfere with the new scenery.

Q: Are discounts available for owners of V1 or previous versions of the scenery?

A: Unfortunately, due to limitations with the Marketplace, we are unable to offer discounts directly through that platform. However, we provide an alternative option for PC users:

  • Transfer Your Product:
You can transfer your product to either the Contrail or IniBuilds store, where discounts or upgrades may be available.
  • Process Details:
    • Proof of purchase for the previous version (V1 or earlier) is required to qualify for the transfer.
    • Approval of transfer requests is done manually and may take some time.

Steps to Transfer:

  1. Visit the respective transfer forms for Contrail or IniBuilds:
  2. Complete the form with accurate details and attach the required proof of purchase.

Note: This process is only available for PC users. Transfers and discounts are not supported for console versions via the Marketplace.

If you have any additional questions or encounter issues during the transfer process, please contact the support team for assistance.
